Rhonda Flanigan is Promoted to Chief People Officer for Vetter Health Services
Elkhorn, NE – President Glenn Van Ekeren of Vetter Health Services (VHS) announced at the start of 2015, the promotion of Rhonda Flanigan as chief people officer. As the Chief People Officer, Rhonda serves on the VHS leadership team that guides the company’s overall strategic plans and development. In her role, Rhonda oversees the administrative services team for Vetter Health Services and is a direct resource for the VHS facility administrators. She also is a key support to each people development coordinator within each facility. This essential role is the advocate, coach, and mentor for those serving our 3,500 team members throughout the company. With over 17 years’ experience working at VHS and within senior care, Rhonda brings a strong practical background, people expertise, and passion for the VHS mission, vision, and values.
In 1997, Rhonda joined Vetter Health Services as the people development coordinator. Her leadership and human resources experience began while attending Arizona State University (ASU) as a student manager at Marriott. Her human resources career experience continued at SmartPay in Bellevue, Nebraska as the human resources manager and at Mangelsen’s, in Omaha, Nebraska as the human resources director. Rhonda received her bachelors of Science degree in psychology from ASU and her Master of Arts degree in industrial/organizational psychology at the University of Nebraska Omaha.
Vetter Health Services owns and/or manages 31 facilities in the Midwest with facilities in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Wyoming. Each care center’s Administrator and team develop plans to continuously improve their services and facility with the support from the VHS network. Operating decisions are made locally to assure that each facility remains responsive to the needs of its residents and community.
