Collage

January 18-24, 2015 marks the annual recognition of Life Enrichment Professionals known as Activity Professionals Week.

Vetter Health Services is honored to have committed, creative, and compassionate individuals serving in the roles of Life Enrichment Coordinator and Life Enrichment Assistant in each of our communities.
These professionals are responsible for providing person-centered life enriching opportunities for residents in their communities. Life Enrichment professionals engage with residents to help establish friendships, create a sense of community, and enhance feelings of self-worth.

February 2015 is the annual recognition of Recreational Therapists known as Recreation Therapy Month. We are privileged to have these professionals on our teams at Southlake Village, Sumner Place, Brookestone Village, Brookestone Acres, and Brookestone Meadows.

These individuals have completed coursework, clinical field experiences, and have demonstrated competency in clinical assessment, program planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of Recreation Therapy Services. Some of our Recreational Therapists have achieved certification through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification and hold the designation of Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.

The American Therapeutic Recreation Association website notes that recreational therapists use a variety of interventions and techniques to improve the ability of clients or patients to pursue functional recreation, leisure, and social opportunities that increase physical, cognitive, and social skills and contribute to a balanced healthy lifestyle.

We are grateful for the talents, skills, and knowledge of our Life Enrichment professionals and Recreational Therapists. They are dedicated to enhancing Quality Life and Quality Care for the residents they serve.

Quality Life: We will create a living environment that radiates love, peace, spiritual contentment, dignity and safety, while encouraging personal independence.
