Here is an excerpt from their award nomination:

“At Brookestone Village we are guided by our Mission, Vision, and Values. The Hawaiian values of kindness, unity, truthfulness, humility, and patience are values we strive to live each day. During National Nursing Home Week we demonstrated unity by having all disciplines involved in providing moments of joy, peace, pleasure, and purpose. A memorable moment that captured the Aloha Spirit was shown by a resident who participated in our interactive travel and reminiscence group, using our in2L computer system, sand art, and great conversation. Our group leader asked the resident, “If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you like to go?” Her response was, “Right here!”

Congratulations to Brookestone Village on this prestigious award and for your dedication to providing moments of purpose, moments of pleasure, and moments of peace.
