Jalene gives 5 examples of how Rhonda has equipped the VHS facilities and teams to be successful in providing top-quality care to residents – and thus why she was chosen for this award:
Rhonda co-created and teaches the VHS People Focused Culture program. This 12 month program is dedicated to helping VHS facilities identify the culture of their buildings and provides instruction on how to make a better culture for their facilities.
She has been a large part of the BBB (building the best of the best) training process. Helping all VHS facilities truly understand the purpose.
She has created an interview manual to provide information to the VHS facilities on what to look for in new team members.
She began the creation of the new VHS orientation program that would create the same world class experience for all new team members within VHS.
Lastly, Rhonda leads her People Development coordinators in “Family Reunions” where they come together to be able to learn new ideas, reignite their passion, and always have the opportunity to ask questions.
Rhonda graciously states, “I am so honored to have received this award. It means so much to me to know that I am making a difference in the lives of people. I feel blessed to be able to come to work every day and do what I love to do! My goal is to provide guidance and support to each of our facilities to make it possible for people to love what they do and love coming to work every day!”
“Nebraska is filled with people like Rhonda Flanigan who contribute to the quality of life of residents in our state’s nursing and assisted living facilities. It is our pleasure to recognize Rhonda Flanigan in this way,” said Heath Boddy, President and CEO of NNFA/NALA.
More than 800 nursing and assisted living facility owners, administrators, teams, and vendors participated in the four-day convention.
