Lake City, IA: Caring for our Work Family
Shady Oaks is a Vetter Health Services (VHS) facility dedicated to both their residents and team members (employees). In March, the Shady Oaks Team began a “Caring Club” to be able to provide a monetary donation to team members in times of need. When the tornado hit Pilger, Nebraska on June 16th, one of the houses destroyed belonged to a fellow VHS Team Member. We are proud to announce that the first Caring Club donation went to this deserving Team Member. In addition to the Caring Club donation, Culinary Coordinator Minnie Huster, challenged fellow team members to donate to the cause. Pictured with some of the cash collected are (L to R) Georgia Wiederin, Minnie Huster, Mary Hike, Kathy Hammen, and Anna Detterman.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the food days and donated cash to the cause. You exemplify the Shady Oaks/VHS Mission, Vision, and Values!
Serving-We succeed by focusing our attention and energies on anticipating and exceeding people’s expectations. Our actions are driven by a “Yes, I Can” attitude and the commitment that we are “Family Serving Family.”
