St Edward, NE: Al and Betty Schwalm Benefit

Team

At Cloverlodge are very lucky to have a staff member by the name of Betty Schwalm. Betty is a LPN and a night charge nurse. On December 31, while at work she received a call from her husband and he was having chest pains and trouble breathing. So Betty left work of course to attend to her husband and take him to the hospital. He was transferred on to Lincoln for other tests and procedures. When she returned home in the country that night, to her amazement she found their nice home burned to the ground. Happy New Year she thought to herself, absolutely nothing left.

We at Cloverlodge wanted to help her; we had a benefit soup supper for her to help pay for medical expenses and start over items. A fund was started at the local Cornerstone Bank and the Vetter Foundation generously gave a $1000. With the proceeds from the Vetter Foundation and the soup supper we raised $3506 for Betty and Al. We believe in one our Vision Statement of supporting our team members thorough our “Quality Reputation” of promoting relationships of trust, confidence, and loyalty through the quality of our services, the honesty of our people, and involvement in our community.

A fund for Betty Schwalm is still in place at the Cornerstone Bank in Saint Edward.
