Grand Island, NE: A Groovy Good Time

DSC0045      Crafting      Making TieDyd

We had a Groovy 70’s Valentine’s Day party on Friday the 13th. The pep club hosted the first of the decade parties to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vetter Health Services. Disco balls, peace signs and hearts were hung. A photo booth with a homemade VW bus graced the dining room along with groovy photo booth props for all to have a special moment captured. Tie dye T-shirts were designed and ordered by the staff to wear. The residents sported tie dye bandanas. A peace sign bean bag toss was hit with the children. Hors d’oeuvre’s of bologna slices, cheese whiz, Ritz crackers and Chex mix were served along with punch and cake. Music was provided by Janet to celebrate the Valentine’s holiday. Families, residents and staff filled the dining full to enjoy the festivities. Everyone had a Groovy good time; residents loved the staff’s T-shirts and thought the bright colors were far out.
