The interview took place during the Nebraska Healthcare Association’s 2022 Innovation Summit. As clear from the interview, Van Ekeren is passionate about upholding the longstanding vision of Vetter Senior Living, which started in 1975 with a single facility and has grown into an organization with over 30 communities and 3,500 team members. 

It all began with Jack and Eldora Vetter, the founders of Vetter Health, who instilled a strong sense of duty and compassion in the organization, “They set the quality standard and created the vision for Vetter Senior Living to be a quality leader in the profession,” Van Ekeren said. “Our passion is to provide quality of life and quality of care through outstanding facilities and excellent teams.” Thanks to their inspiration, Vetter Senior Living continues to be driven by its mission of “Dignity in Life” and by “treating every person we come in contact with as the most important person in our life,” Van Ekeren said.
