VHS Life Enrichment Coordinators Participate in Activity Professional’s Conference

Several VHS Life Enrichment Coordinators participated in a one day continuing education opportunity hosted by the Activity Professional’s Association of Omaha (APA).

The seminar included speakers on using music therapy techniques, how to enhance quality of life for those with specialized diets, cultural awareness, fall-themed expressive arts using repurposed items from “around the house,” exercise groups for older adults, and creating brain fitness groups to name a few.

Seminar attendees included Life Enrichment Coordinators from Highland Park Care Center in Alliance, Heritage Estates in Gering, Papillion Manor, Brookestone Meadows, Rose Lane Home in Loup City, Brookefield Park in St. Paul, Heritage of Red Cloud, and VHS Home Office.

Cameo Rogers, Life Enrichment Coordinator from VHS is current President of APA and facilitated the cultural awareness and the expressive arts sessions of the seminar.
