Lincoln, NE: Southlake Village Honored by It’s Never 2 Late for Interdisciplinary Engagement Using Technology
Jack York, Founder and CEO of It’s Never 2 Late (iN2L), a Colorado based company dedicated to providing dignity through technology to seniors was moved by a recent story he observed on the VHS In The Loop Website.
iN2L sponsored a contest for communities to submit their best stories of how the iN2L computer systems were making a difference for residents. Southlake Village won second place in the contest!
Southlake Village Nurse, Sara Kruger, was honored for her work in engaging the residents with karaoke music and dance parties. For her teamwork and dedication to quality life and quality care Sara and a friend were able to join Jack York and his son at a Nebraska Football Game where the Huskers took on the Wisconsin Badgers. Sara and Jack cheered the Huskers on from the 50 yard line and although the Huskers did not get a win that game it was a great time for fellowship and fun.
Vetter Health Services, VHS is grateful to the team at Southlake Village for encouraging Sara in her efforts to engage residents in meaningful music and movement and in the teamwork that ensured she had scheduled time off to enjoy the game. Thank you to the Southlake team for sharing this wonderful story! VHS is especially grateful for the generosity of our quality partner, It’s Never 2 Late, and for Jack York’s special recognition of a nurse who is exceeding expectations and promoting personal independence and quality life. Thank you Sara!
