Lake City, IA: Shady Oaks Residents Show Off Their Glamour

Some may cringe at the sight of a camera, but not the residents of Shady Oaks! Laughs and stories were shared while fancy hats and feathered fans were distributed in preparation of individual photo shoots. It was rewarding to see the smiles and poses emerge before the camera. Something as simple as getting your hair fixed for the special “event”, a little lipstick or a cowboy hat helped each person’s personality shine through. We are excited to get the prints back to display back at the facility and give to the residents’ families. A special thank you to Brittany Drew, Guest Relations Coordinator, for sharing her professional talents and John Smith for allowing us to borrow hats and other props to make the day extra special!
