Elkhorn, NE: PEP Club Energizes the Home Office and Helps Donate to the Open Door Mission

Since we know that PEP Club stands for “People Energizing People” our home office club decided this entire year we wanted to engage everyone here at the home office in various “charitable donating” events. Looking into the fact that so many organizations need assistance all throughout the year we decided that our first charitable donating event would be to the Open Door Mission.

The Open Door Mission is a Gospel Rescue Mission founded in 1954 committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty. Each day, Open Door Mission’s campus in Omaha offers 816 safe, shelter beds to homeless men, women and children, serves over 2,000 hot, nutritious meals and provides preventive measures to more than 275 people living in poverty.

When sheltering more than 816 men, women and children daily, it is hard to keep toilet paper in supply. Our home office PEP Club put the call out to “Roll out the Year” by giving and collecting money for toilet paper and toilet paper purchases to send to the Open Door Mission. We are proud to state that we collected 159 rolls of toilet paper (thank you Karla for your purchasing power!)
